The direct impact of industry and society on nature is basically due to the occupation of space, the use of natural resources and the generation of waste: detritus and pollutants. Concern over the environmental preservation, especially encouraged by the more industrialized countries in recent years, has gradually expanded to other countries. Controls were created for the pollution generated by the industries and the possible contamination caused by the final product. All this has led to the development and implementation of technologies to control and reduce the emission of gases, liquid effluents and solid waste, without the need to reduce production. On the other hand, the generation of urban waste is already a serious problem for many cities, which must be addressed and solved immediately.
